MAPP at Acorn Elementary
Today, we took MAPP to Acorn Elementary School. I was fortunate enough to have my husband, Jacob, join me in presenting MAPP. The photos are from a group of 1st graders who read "Sunny Goes to the Beach" with us. They learned the 5 S's to Skin Cancer Prevention and how the sun can be harmful to their skin even when they don't get sunburned. They also learned what SPF is and what number they should look for on a bottle of sunscreen.
Jacob was a great model and showed all the kiddos the proper wear for playing out in the sun. I think their favorite part was the end and being able to make silly faces with us!
One of the great things about MAPP is its ability to be adapted to any age level.
